"I purchased a set of GMRS/FRS 2-Way Radios Model: 21-1926 & I exchanged them for the Motorola SX700R set. I have had them less than a Month & they are a good little radio for the price, more pleased with them than I have been with any set so far. NOAA Weather Radio works good too. "Well first off everyone must keep in mind that these radios transmit and recieve on UHF frequencys, all FRS/GMRS radios do, this means that the radios work best if they are used in the line of sight. "This radio is great if you know how to use it. Effective mile for all types of radios are cut by half (Radios are boasted on best range, not optimal), and remember that these radios are line of sight. Anything between you and the other radio will drastically reduce your range. "
