"At $80, this was the cheapest of the Monster Power products. I'd already tried a $15 El Cheapo "Ground Loop Isolator" which dulled the sound and made the picture interference on my 50" Plasma TV even worse. "We had an av800 which is very similar to the av700 (but you don't have an av800 and I think consumers should be made aware of Monster's poor warranty policies). There was a lightning strike on our street and the surge blew our power curcuit on the stereo and cable box that were plugged into the av800.
