"The small usb part is amazing. I hand carry my laptop all the time, and having a large USB connector hanging out really bothers me (afraid I am going to rip it off!). This mouse is amazingly well designed. It doesn't have any fancy ergo grips, but the size overcomes this (small and light). "I bought the mouse for 1) the extra programmable buttons 2) the nano transmitter. The mouse programs easily and I like having a dongle that is not going to damage the computer's innards when I put the PC down on its edge.
