"I bought several 100' spools of the Metra "Raptor" 12-gauge wire for wiring a 7.1 Surround system, used for in-wall wiring in my new house prior to the drywall being installed. "I have installed this within walls during construction and have not used it carrying a signal yet, so cannot give any opinion on that. The thing that bothers me though, is that the 100' rolls were actually a little less than 90' long, causing me to call Amazon about the problem. "Both 100' spools of this wire came in TWO pieces.I discovered that I'd have to splice it halfway through a difficult install. URHHHH!!!! Avoid these problems by buying other vendor's products. "

"I bought this cable to do my surround for a house I was building. I did all my calculation on how much I was going to need, put some contingency of about 10% in terms or wire length, etc.
