"Saddly, i cannot endorse anyone purchasing this product. I went through 3 in a matter of 2 weeks and had 3 seperate problems with the product between the 'blue screen of death,' random shutting down, and the drive simply crashing beyond any computer strength from PC to MAC. "Performance of an external hard drive is binary; either it works or it doesn't. This drive is the fifth Maxtor drive I have owned, all but one have performed well and that one was replaced within its warranty period. Two expired after several years of use, one slowly, one in an instant.
