"I had trouble because there are no instructions. However, you should install the DRIVERS on the mini-cd...FIRST!!!! Use the right model number like VT-6421 when installing!! This is generally on the FEATURES sheet. It is not on the box!! I had installed the card first with the HDD drives and it ''bogged'', did not boot. "Not a bad product, insofar as it works as advertised, but I have two caveats for a would-be purchaser. 1. I installed this on an Emachines T2862, and I cannot get the machine to recognize the attached drives as bootable. I think the bios may be at fault (the driver installs from Windows), but I cannot find an update from a site I would consider reliable. This may be a matter of trying to push an old machine too ..."
