"This is a nice, solid unit. The top is aluminum and the bottom is plastic, but well made. The wedge shape keeps the laptop angled perfectly for keyboard work. "the cooler seems to be well build. I like the aluminum top. I leave my laptop on for days and the fans cool my laptop well, except for the very front of it (since the fans are in the back half).
I looked for a cooled for a while and this seems the best one out there so far.
