I needed a boom arm to support 3 - 5 kg (monobloc + beauty dish) at its maximum extension by reading the specifications on this website I thought this boom stand would be great. "For the price, this stand is great. It can be used as a straight 13' stand too. The boom is neatly stored within the stand. I use it with a 16" softbox or to raise a speedlight really high. You will need to counter balance the boom with a 10 lb. min. weight. "
