Granted I only have a Lowel Pro Light on the end for backlight, and I'll throw a sand bag on the base supports if i'm getting nervous about clobbering the person i'm lighting if it falls over. "I use this stand for a back light when doing video interviews. It's a solid stand with and the reach of the boom is tremendous. You do need a counter weight depending on the size of light you put up there. "
