"Specifically the "Flat Bottomed" quick release plate. I put this on my 80-200 2.8, my 300 2.8 and my 4 X 5 camera and never have to take them off. When the gear is not on the tripod, it still sits flat and doesn't roll around AND I can still screw my monopod into the release plate. "
