The sections of the Bogen/Manfrotto Heavy Duty Three Section Boom may be used individually, or with all the sections fitted and locked together. The updated 3071B (008BU) stand has a black painted, chrome finish steel construction, with wheels. The stand section supports light fixture loads up to 66 lbs (30 kg), to a maximum height of 7' (2.1 m). The boom supports loads of up to 15 lbs (6.8 kg) fully extended.This item replaces old catalog #3119. The 3071B catalog number of the stand will be replaced with catalog #008BU.

"This thing is grate. When I first used it I thought the boom sections were stuck together but the securing mechanism is designed to hold well if you are having trouble just unscrew both screws and they will just slide apart.
