"I bought this for myself for Christmas.[...] I hired a friend to hook this up for me. That was worth it... almost stress free. I have a big older TV . It took 2 hours following the guide (which is very helpful) and testing for everything. I also had to buy extra cables. I had a digital tuner, but now don't need it because it's built in here. "Be ready to spend some time with the set-up manual.
Limited use: can only record 2 hour max. Limited capacity in this area. Have yet to convert VHS to DVD but the DVD recording is nice.
