"This VCR/DVD combo is definately worth 60-70 dollars. Many have returned the item since it does not have an RF (cable box) connector. The unit only comes with RCA (Sat box connectors). This unit will also connect nicely to digital TV converter boxes. The remote buttons are too small and the menus are from the 80s. The quality of the VCR play back and recording is very good. "I purchased the Magnavox DVD/VCR combo on 5/22/2009 to only watch movies on the weekend. It worked fine until this afternoon. I put in a DVD and the screen would play the movie, then go blank, play, blank. So I tried a 2nd and 3rd dvd...same thing. "The four head VCR has a clear picture. It has all the major functions of a stand alone VCR. The DVD player also has the functions of a stand alone player. "Got it to play VHS tapes to a separate DVD recorder. VCR part worked less than 25 hr of usage before VCR stopped working. A few days later the DVD player portion also stopped working. We only used that on disks the other player couldn't play, so it was also hardly used.
Warranty is a joke: 90 days
