"Let's get the bad out of the way first. If shorter than about six feet, I would say the waist straps wouldn't be a problem. "This is a great backpack but it does not fit as many items as Lowepro claims on their specs. To give you an idea you can fit without problem:
Canon 5D with a 70-200 IS 2.8L USM
24-70 2.8L USM
These items take almost all the space, you may fit some other small item but definitely not a flash.
