Lighting on a budget

"I'm on a tight budget, but I needed some solid lights. I stumbled upon these, and I am very satisfied. They're nice and bright with a 250 watt bulb (at least for me and my small productions, large productions that need lights to fill entire studios will obviously want to look elsewhere), and the ability to focus between flood and spot modes is great for that extra bit of choice. They feel nice and sturdy as well..." Read Full Review »

Good and Bad

"I've used a plethora of different lights on productions. Pro-lights are cheap, and small, and quite focusable. However, I'm abusive towards my lights, and while ARRIs and LTMs take the beatings with pride and grace, Lowell fails to follow suit. The barn door contraption (not included with this kit but necessary to control light) that comes with the kit is made of bendy cheap metal that has to be precisely mou..." Read Full Review »

"Lights are great. Perform as described. The light stands are _not_ Lowel! They are by some company called "Impact". Is this a B&H aftermarket bundle? This was unclear at purchase, because the previous kit we bought was all Lowel hardware. This description says "by Lowel". The studs are not …"  Read Full Review »

"The heads do fit the studs on the stands and sit upright when you lock them at the right part of the stud. If you leave them unlocked they'll sit cocked to one side.
