"This device is OK. I bought it to load CD Roms onto my new Dell Netbook. I can not seem to do this on the USB power as the product description claims. To load new programs on my Dell, I have to plug into AC power. "Drive works as designed, but can not hot swap on my ASUS 1000HE. The power surge from plugging in the drive will cause the USB power protection to shut down computer.
