"I have a wireless G router upstairs. My downstairs desktop crashed and I was using a WUSB54G, which plugged into a USB port and worked great. However, new desktops all come with Vista which is not compatible with the old network adapter. I don't need anything extensive so I went with a basic machine that didn't have built-in already.
