"I purchased this switch to use in a small office that needed some additional Ethernet ports beyond those that were on the Wireless DSL router. I was able to set up the product in 5 minutes, including reading the instructions. All of the ports are auto-sensing and will adapt to the protocol used by the device on the other end of the cable. Watch out, this is a "Workgroup Switch"

"I wanted a dumb switch. This unit has the characteristics of a HUB. I wanted to spread my cable modem to ethernet unit aroud the house. The computers work, the wireless Router works, but the new Dishnetwork Satelite Recievers would not. The key I should have seen was the total of 6 RJ45 ports on the back.
