I ultimately decided to narrow my search down to what was stocked in local stores...they provide far more flexibility when returning a monitor for dead pixels, which I was deathly afraid of. "Quite honestly, I bought this monitor because I had gift certificates for onecall. LG was an unknown brand to me so I wasn't sure what to expect.
