"I've had the unit about 1 year now, and I have some likes and dislikes after living with it that long. I've read many reviews here and I am surprised by all the problems experienced with this unit! Either I got a good one, or many other people got lemons. Having many other LG products over the years leads me to think many people just got lemons. They make good stuff! "I bought this unit on 8/1/08 and I really enjoyed having the ability to record on the dual layer dvd as well as the MLP record mode (picture looked like an 8 hour vhs recording but you got alot of recording for it (14 hours)).
