"My old DVD of 11 years finally croaked, wanted something inexpensive since it isn't on my main TV. I have it on my 32" HD LCD in the basement, and I have been very pleased. I have the optical run into my 5.1 stereo, sounds great. Looks great too. It had no issues playing the Divx disks I had. "We bought this LG upconvert DVD player for a bedroom. Didn't want to spend a lot of money because we knew it would get limited use. It was a "nice to have" purchase. We did NOT buy the extra $19.00 warranty...HOW STUPID....We only use the player maybe once a week. Well, the first player was buggy within the first 30 days and we returned it no problem.
