#1 it was SATA interface which I needed for my new build.
#2 I have never had an LG drive that was bad or went bad.

"i bought this with high hopes as i had used an lg drive in the past that was awesome. after just 2 months and only burning a handful of cd's the burning system failed and has to be returned. it reads great, but will no longer burn. have tried poweriso, nero, roxio, windows burn utility and NADA. "
