"Well, I bought this for the capacity and download speed. The speed is only there when it works. I am working on Vista Ultimate 64bit Core 2 duo 6700 machine with 4 gigs of RAM. I am using the Lexar professional Firewire 800 card reader and using it on a Firewire 800 adapter card. After timing the download speeds, it was very comparable to USB 2.0. "This is a great CF card. It's writes super fast, but make sure that your camera is capable of taking advantage of this card.
