"For me all I was looking for a drive I can simply drag and drop whatever I wanted to into it. I didn't need backup, uPnP, memberships to access from outside your home network etc... I'm not sure if it has any of these capabilities. I never looked into it. I have macs and I've had a Western Digital for a while, and it's very temperamental and only mounts sometimes.
