"We bought this in an emergency, for backing up photo files on the road. Works on Windows and Mac readily. Operates smoothly. Not high speed. But it is so slim, it fits in my shirt pocket. Bus powered, it needs no power supply. I would predict it could sore over 5000 Raw files plus JPEGS.

"This drive is a little workhorse. It's solidly built, and is compact. LaCie also provides an extra power cable to ensure the drive gets the juice it needs. This replaces a WD Passport that went belly up on me. "
