Kodak T-Max 400 Professional film is a continuous-tone panchromatic black-and-white negative film. It is also useful for scientific and biomedical work, especially when fluorescence photography is required. It has high speed (ISO 400/27 in most developers), very high sharpness, extremely fine grain, and high resolving power; it allows a high degree of enlargement.

Wonder film

"I am a photography student at Minnesota State Mankato. I use this particular film because of the high quality I gain from it. It has a smoother texture that other films I use and when making prints it allows for larger enlargements. I have also noted that when I use this film I haven't had to worry if my times for development are super accurate. You still get a great set of negatives. I would highly recomme..." "Used this on a film-noir movie shoot and the photos came back not just good, but excellent. Because of the extreme low light situations, I often had to push this film to 3200 and it performed without a hitch. I expected the scans to come back grainy, but instead they were beautiful, great contrast …"  Read Full Review »

"I'm current taking a photography class at our local Community College and we are using this film for all different kinds of projects. My professor claims that this the best BW film because the silver sulfide crystals are arranged on end and therefore you get the sharpest pictures from this film. "

"This is a truly wonderful film. Wicked sharp, lovely tonality and grain on par with many 100 speed films. Good results developing with Xtol developer, or stand development with Rodinal. Not idiot proof, but much easier to work with than the t-max of the past. Highly recommended. "
