There's nothing that sweetens up the interior of your car like a video display. JVC's KW-AVX800 certainly has the looks, but it has so much more. The KW-AVX800 can, of course, play standard CD's, and audio/video DVD's, but it also adds a ton of other functionality.With JVC's KS-PD100 adapter you can input audio and song information from your iPod into the KW-AVX800. This will not only let you listen to your iPod through your sound system but it will also let you control the iPod with the KW-AVX800's touchscreen controls.A rear USB port lets you add any USB capable exterior storage device, (HDD, memory stick, Digital Audio Player), and is capable of playing almost any format, (AAC/WAV/MP3/WMA/JPEG/MPEG 1,2/DivX). A front loaded SD card reader gives you even more data input options.JVC also realizes where technology is heading so they've added Bluetooth capability as well. With the optional KS-BTA200 you can experience hands-free calls, (up to a maximum of five phones can be registered), streaming audio and phone book control and transfer. With voice-recognition mobile phones you can even dial just by saying the name in your phone book, (microphone included). The KS-BTA200 also has a pass-through so you can daisy-chain an iPod adapter, a satellite radio receiver or a CD changerFull Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound decoding is on board, as is MP3, WMA, and WAV playback from CD or DVD. You can connect an auxiliary A/V source and an A/V output feeds additional monitors. Theres even built-in DSP with time alignment and ambiance modes for breathtaking sonic realism, regardless of the source. You can't fault the KW-AVX800 for lack of options, and if you use them all you're doing pretty good. All this goodness is controlled either with the easy to use touchscreen or with the included full-feature remote.
