"After much research online, I decided to go with a JVC based on the picture quality reviews for other camcorders. I agree with those reviews, as I've seen the results of a Sony HDD camera, and the video quality of the JVC was MUCH better! The camera is easy to use and captures good video. "I would not recommend this. The software works fine, but when you try to play it back without software you can't, unless you purchase conversion software to convert it from the .mod file to .avi or .mov.
