The Joby Gorillapod SLR-Zoom with Medium Ballhead is an ultra-versatile mini-tripod or grip that can be used with large SLR cameras with zoom lens attached or with camcorders (max. load capacity of 6.6 lb/3 kg). Its three multi-segmented flexible legs can be formed to grip almost any protrusion be it a branch doorknob rock or uneven surface. Each of the joints can bend and rotate 360° to wrap around objects. The bottom rubber segment on the legs is larger to allow it to be used in the traditional way. The included Medium Ballhead is a ballhead for use with most 35mm digital & light medium format cameras. It features a large padded camera stage for stability and an easy to grip locking wheel.

When the big tripod is too much.

"For trips that require some camera support, but not the very heavy tripod. All that's needed is a flat surface, or secure legs around a railing, etc. Amazing gripping power when used in this manner...." Read Full Review »

Slightly dissapointed

"I bought this after hearing about it from some other professionals who had used it. Works good and I'm looking forward to trying it out when I go to the Galapagos this year. Only problem I have is that the kit I purchased didn't come with the ball head, now I have to buy that separately. I wish they only sold it with the head as we would need it...." Read Full Review »

"I was surprised at how lightweight the gorillapod was once I got it out of the package. That's a good thing because it makes it super easy to travel with.

Unlike the regular gorillapod the zoom doesn't come with a moveable head. So you are kind of stuck with horizontal format unless you get a trip …"  Read Full Review »

"bought the GP3 as a portable tripod for my Nikon D60. I chose the GP3 over the GP2 since the price tag was only a few dollars different, but I probably don't need the GP3 to hold much since I only use my camera for catching moments when I'm walking around. Basically photography is not a hobby of m …"  Read Full Review »

"Nice product. Can take fun pictures with this!! Works pretty good. Have only had a few issues where it moved a little once I positioned it. It didn't move much. Overall, I'm really happy with this. Now I don't have to stop people on the sidewalk to take pictures of us. : ) "

I could get the unobstructed panoramic view of Waikiki beach & Diamond Head. So far I have used it wi …"  Read Full Review »
