It grabbed the fist network address on my router. I was able to see it listed in my routers lan table to get its address and then configured it using internet explorer. "Pros this device is pretty simple to use. i didn't install the software but it was still easy to configure and map the folders. it looks very nice too and the aluminum keeps the drive from getting too hot Cons the specs say gigabit but this nas transfers at megabit speeds. transfers are around 10-13 MB/s which is about the same rate as transfers to computers w/ megabit NICs. i can transfer to other computers ..."
