I installed the Intel ...

"I installed the Intel Q6700 quad-core in a Zalman TNN-500AF "fanless" aluminum case. It has a TDP of 95W and 2 x 4 megs of L2 Cache. Zalman recommends a low-rpm cooling exhaust fan for CPUs with a TDP over 100W, so the Q6700 "rides the narrow boundary" of convected heat. I stressed out the quad-core to 100% using four Folding@Home programs. The CPU temp was 64C for three days. There were no problems under s..." Read Full Review »

Just to correct the BX ...

"Just to correct the BX & HH thing, theyre the same thing. The BX is the beginning part of the Box order code while the HH is the beginning part of the OEM order code for the same CPU. Also, Stepping doesnt always refer to features, stepping is the term used to distinguish CPU revision releases. The Q6700 was only released in one version, there are no other versions of this CPU as it was released without revi..." Read Full Review »

"I had been using an E6300 with 2GB RAM on a 965 board. The performance upgrade with this made it possible to run the win7 RC with no issues and can run media center.

"Ok so I ordered this quad core to replace an E2200 dual core that was handling the CPU chores in my system. I have an Asus P5N32E-SLI Plus mobo and this quad core is basically the fastest proc I can put into the board. I haven't been disappointed. I currently have it air cooled at 3.25ghz and it …"  Read Full Review »
