"Just bought this player for a cross-country plane trip with the kids because our last portable DVD player got lost. After a bunch of looking I chose this one and it is is free of many of the flaws I have seen in previous players I have owned. 1. The volume is loud enough through headphones for a plane flight. "While this DVD player looks nice and is priced right, I have young children which means lots of my DVD's are scratched. They have always still played on my other DVD players. The Insignia did not play one of my kids DVD's without getting caught up somewhere and it took forever to load everything. It was very slow.
