"I bought one of these 3 or 4 years ago for my duaghter and her family for their home theater. It is excellent for that. I just this week bought one for myself to replace and 8" Yamaha Sub on my stereo system in my bedroom. I originally had 5-1/4 speakers for the stereos and the Yamaha seemed acceptable.
