"Notice that this is the full-size umbrella, meaning it is not telescopic and when retracted it's pretty long at about 45". You can easily remove the black cover to make it become a shoot-through, but the black cover does not have silver coating inside, so it will not reflect as well as a silver reflecting one. "The umbrella broke after 7 months of moderate use. The metal cap that is supposed to hold the umbrella to the shaft does not stay in place. It would pop off sending the cap flying into the air (and at the subject!). Once this happens, it can't be fixed or secured back into place.
