The Icom M604 VHF Radio is the flagship model of the highly regarded and reliable line of Icom radios. The M604 meets Class D DSC requirements with an independent channel 70 receiver for continuous DSC watch. When connected to your GPS, DSC functions include a distress call, all- ships call, distress coordinates, time-for-last position update, receive distress relay, and distress acknowledge calls. When connected to a hailer horn, the 30-watt amplification of the M604 can call another ship or person and receive an answer. Four foghorn patterns are standard on the automatic foghorn for added vessel safety. The M604 has a full dot-matrix display that allows a host of information such as GPS data (when connected to a GPS) and DSC emergency data to be seen instantly and easily. The display is backlit, and the knobs and buttons are oversized making it easy to operate. The M604 is waterproof to JIS 7 standards. The body can be flush-mounted for a clean installation and houses an extra large speaker with Icom's unique "AquaQuake" water removal system, this lets you clear the speaker (should it become damp) for crystal clear reception.
