"CD/DVD drive would not read the included WIFI driver disks or my authorized copy of Office 2007. Read some other data disks, but tended to jam up on CDs and DVDs.
Inserting included Cisco WIFI card caused it to freeze. Downloading new drivers from Cisco didn't help.

"Had similiar experience with IBM laptop I bought refurbished --- it turned out that all the problems were due to needing Windows XP service pack 2 installed --- which you can easily get from microsoft website. Also --- I bought a Kingston 1 GB RAM upgrade and now it works like a charm "
