"I read the reviews before I purchased this upgrade kit. One buyer said that it did not work with Vista. When I got the product, on the outside of the package, was a sticker that said to download software from the HP web site. I did that and it was simple, and it works great. "I received an E-mail advertising this product. It seemed like a wonderful addition, since I use my laptop at one end of the house, and my InkJet HP9800d is located at the other end. The E-mail ad did not mention that it worked only with certain printers. When I received the upgrade kit, I noted the list of printers that it did support on the package. "If you hate wires that connect printers, this item eliminates that completely. It is only compatible with certain printers, (the list is on hp's website). The printer can be in any room so your laptop does not have to be connected to the printer other than with the usb adapter. "
