Life Saver

"I got this external harddrive when my computer crashed. I was so worried that I would lose all my files, because I had ALOT of music files, songs I had written myself, and files for school. When I took my laptop to staples to repair it they told me that I could either save my files to disks or buy and external harddrive and they download them directly to it. May not work for you!

"The idea is great. The reality is that it will not back up files that have a long path or file name. It skipped 55 files on my laptop. These are file names that Windows XP has no problem with. I talked to Hp customer service and they say; "that's the way it is". Their solution is that I should shorten the file names.
