Gorgeous Computer That Won't Boot Linux

"This computer would not boot Ubuntu 32/64 from the DVD. It did boot & run various Puppies from DVD & successully made a bootable nerdstick--which it only booted & ran once, and never again. Would not boot or run TinyMe but did DSL. The machine is beautiful & I all ready miss the display & the subwoofer; but what use is a computer that won't run an OS?
