"I had no problems with my battery for the first year - Typical battery life was 2hrs, then it slowly dipped down to 1.5hrs. My problem began when I left it plugged in with the battery in for an entire summer; afterwards my battery held zero charge and wouldn't recharge. This is more my fault. "battery is good for about 8 months... i've had a dv6000 for less then a year and the battery last a little over an hour.. the first months it worked great, but now i have to waste another $130 for a new battery... even though i am very happy with my computer, i love my HP... its a great pc, never fails... but i will not be buying another simply because the battery life is terrible..." "As many others have attested, this battery is weak. I too have had my dv6000 for a year and the battery can now only last for about 20 minutes. The Pavilion line is terrific; it should have an equally superior battery. "
