Usually a 20W set costs about $50 so I have to say these are pretty affordable because it's a 50W (10 watts per satellite and a 30 watts subwoofer) set and it's only $80. "After running a variety of music through them I can say that they can get a muddled sound when there is a lot of mid range noise. Outside of that they are clear, though the sub-woofer seems a bit too powerful for the satellite speakers. The control, is cheap, flimsy and not easy to use. "I have owned dozens of different computer speaker systems and these are among the best at any price. For the price they can't be beat. We have a set of these attached to a computer in a large kitchen. ITunes and these speakers and it sounds as good as our very expensive home audio system. "

"Great sound, you can have the speakers on low volumn or crank it up...excellant sound...the only problem I had was with the volume control, it's not the best when setting it where you want it...very touchie, takes a few moments to get it just right...however, well worth the money...go for it... "
