"a filter is essential to protect your lens, and multi-coated is the way to go to avoid reflections that will affect your videos. this filter fit perfectly on my panasonic camcorder and you can't even tell it's on there when you film. i have not yet used it outside yet. "

"I am loyal Hoya user. I have 2 52mm Hoya UV(0) for my Nikon D40X and now I bout this 37mm Hoya UV(0) for my Canon HF100 camcorder. I use it outdoor shooting sceneary and it's excellent.

I tried Tiffan brand and does not like the reflection. "
