"I like the hoodman for the protection and function. It is a fairly sturdy product except for the spring loaded doors-they break. [...] My photographer daughter recomended BH photo for their reliability and she was right. "

"purchased item for Nikon D70, D200 and D2X. D70 fell apart after a few months and was replaced by manufacturer. Hood for D2X recently disintegrated as well. Hoodman is a good concept, but its fragiklity makes it expensive and unreliable. "

"I've owned these for both the D2X and the D70s. Both have broken as they are a bit fragile. I may buy another for the D70s, but not for the D2X. I found that it stuck out enough while closed that it was uncomfortable against my face while looking into the viewfinder. "
