"I purchased the Hoodman LCD screen protector because the Nikon D3 did not come with it's own protector. I was a little surprised at this because all the other less expensive Nikons come with one, but on their top of the line camera... they neglect to include it! Obviously, a protective screen cover can be put there because the necessary recessed clipholders are on the camera... and the Hoodman fits like a glov..." Read Full Review »

Waste of $$$

"Nikon did not neglect to include the cover because the screen does not need it. The actual LCD is recessed into the body of the D3 and the piece of glass over it is tempered glass. Why does this matter you may ask? Think about what other applications for which tempered glass is used... Car windshields. Unless you take a baseball bat or a rock flying at 55mph to a windshield, it will not even get a nick in it. ..." Read Full Review »
