Each port delivers up to 200Mbps throughput, which can give workstations a congestion-free data pipe for simultaneous access to the server. The switch can operate in either half or full-duplex modes, and store-and-forward architecture filters eliminate error packets and improve efficiency. In addition, it can be expanded by cascading two or more switches together. The Plug and Play HFS8T is powerful and reliable, and can run your high-end video, graphic, real-time gaming, multimedia, database, and mission-critical applications with ease! Includes Mini Switch, External power adapter and user manual. Eight 10/100Mb auto-negotiation, auto-MDI/MDIX Ethernet ports. Complies with IEEE 802. 3 10BaseT and IEEE 802. 3u 100BaseTX standards. Supports IEEE 802. 3x flow control for full duplex operation. Supports back pressure for half duplex operation. "I bought the predecessor to this switch (the PN108ES) and it literally went up in smoke - a chip near the power jack burned to the point where it melted itself off the PCB. I've been hesitant to buy another Hawking switch... "
