"Backup disk, connected via FW800. Fast connection. Quiet fan, but still too loud for use in a very quiet room. But so far I haven't found any external harddisk with fan (I do not buy harddisks without! They simply get too hot which reduces the life dramatically!) that is REALLY quiet. "
