Exceeds all expectations!

"I got three of these mini ball heads to use them with my SB-800's to give more flexibility of positioning when on stands. It of course handles the SB-800's with ease. When they arrived I immediately noted that although small they locked very positively so I have used one of them on the top of my monopod where it securely holds my D70s camera and any of the lenses I have (not "pro" lenses). It is exactly what ..." Read Full Review »

"I picked this ball head up to go with the Flashpoint handlebar mount, thinking that it was required. Turns out it wasn't necessary, but I'm still happier with this ball head than with the handlebar mount, and will probably get more use from it. It's quite small, and fits nicely on top of my compac …"  Read Full Review »

"Pro: I use this on a monopod with a digital SLR and have found it to be very stable even with a long lens. It is easy to adjust and holds true. Being very light weight is a big plus.

Con: The only negative is that unlike the catalog picture, the ball tightening screw is 90 degrees from the ball t …"  Read Full Review »

"I currently own 5 of these ball heads and am ordering 4 more. Why so many? - they are so inexpensive, I'm able to attach them to various strobe mounts (mainly DIY-made clamps and brolly brackets) and hot shoes so all I have to do is set up, slot in my strobe, attach a PW and I'm ready to shoot. "Bought this to compliment my Giotto Monopod not realizing it was so tiny compared to the base plate on the monopod, an oversight on my part. I may be able to find a longer thumb turn to improve convenience. "
