"I bought this Garmin Nuvi 1490T at Best Buy July 2, 2009. I was surprised to see this new model in the store. Other places on the internet won't have it available until the end of July. They had the 765T on sale for $349.99 but it was being recalled by Garmin because of a firmware problem so they were substituting it with the 885T. "I have used 3 other Garmins in the past. I had trouble with 2 of the 3. (I returned # 3, when I was stopped at a red light and it did the "Approaching in so many feet, counted down to 0, and announced we had arrived at the destination and my car never moved 1 inch, I returned it.
