"When I got it I was very surprised at the thickness of the item. When you add it to your own mount (since it doesn't include a way to mount to the bike), it becomes a huge bulky item. "This mount works well. A sliding snap on the side securely holds the GPS unit to the mount. It does take a 3rd party mounting bracket (I used one from RAM which provides very sturdy mounts). "This mount works very well. I've tested it on rough gravel roads and it's holding up well. Figuring it out how it installs takes a minute or two but once you have everything lined up it goes right on. Took me less than 30 minutes to wire it up on the RAM mount (which you need). "
