"I wanted to update my Emerson(Funai) EWR20V4 VCR/DVD Recorder because that is 4+ years old and VHS units will disappear in a couple of years, just as LP's, 8 Track and Sony Beta vcr's have gone. I had no problems with the Emerson and the Magnavox is the SAME maker, I figured it is a safe bet. "I accidentally bought this thinking it was the lower priced model without a digital tuner. I decided to go ahead & keep it. Although it picked up more digital channels than my TV, the picture quality is not as good as the television.
